THE NEW WHO’S WHO TOP 25 IN NATURAL BEAUTY 2019 REVEALED THIS WEEK

The year’s most anticipated green beauty “industry hotlist” – the brand new Who’s Who Top 25 Personalities in the Natural Beauty Industry 2019 – has been revealed in the Autumn issue of Natural Beauty News magazine.

A lot of new names join this important list which is voted for by those in the industry.

Thank you very much if you voted me into the Top 10 (No. 9), it’s my 7th year on it and it feels just as exciting as it was back in 2013 (one year after The Beauty Shortlist launched).

Gosh how things have changed industry-wise. Green beauty is literally on fire and consumers are wising up to the “crap” in a lot of products – including high end – and instead falling in love with the brilliant, clean beauty brands blooming globally (a LOT of them nurtured on British shores).

But…and it’s a sobering one…as pollution, climate change (now an emergency), and the general, sobering, relentless threat to our ecosystem, our future and US heightens, there is no time to sit back and be passive.

Every single week and day we can vote with our wallets. By buying clean beauty (over synthetic and possibly not even cruelty-free).

By calling out and reporting dodgy greenwashing brands making false claims.

By reducing waste.

By buying less, but buying better.

By supporting the good brands, abandoning the others.

By buying organic, we’re endorsing and protecting our health, ethics and sustainability and the future of the place we live, aka the planet and the ocean, as well as that of future generations.

Nature is innately supremely intelligent. And in tandem, the most compassionate, intelligent, selfless, selfish and forward-thinking “win-win-win” action we can take is to choose natural, organic, cruelty-free, sustainable and ethical – every single time. (And scrutinise the INCI/labels!)

More about this top 25:

From Weleda’s press release 2 October 2019

“Published in the autumn issue of Natural Beauty News, the Top 25 provides an overview of the leaders and prominent figures who are influencing and leading the UK’s natural beauty industry, all voted for by their industry peers.

The list includes founders of beauty brands, manufacturers, bloggers and influencers, writers, distributors and make-up artists who all champion natural and organic cosmetics on a daily basis.”

The magazine’s Editor Rosie Greenaway commented:

“As natural beauty edges towards the mainstream, our industry has been busy working at grassroots level to build demand and dictate trends – which makes for an amazing Who’s Who for 2019. Meet our sector’s true movers and shakers. They’re the people who’ve shaped the industry all through the year – nurturing brands, spreading knowledge and building awareness.”

Last but not least,  “thank you” to Natural Beauty News – and the special Autumn 2019 issue including the new Who’s Who Top 25 line-up is out now.
