Happy Friday (and a very quick post!). So I bought Weleda’s NEW Gentle Cleansing Foam last week from a Swiss health store and am *really* happy with it.
It’s:
For normal and combination (“mixte” as they say in France)
Non-stripping/non-drying, leaves skin feeling absolutely balanced and normal, yet clean
It’s got marshmallow root extract in it (skin softening, calming/anti-inflammatory and good for hypersensitive skin) and witch hazel (anti-acne/tackles bacteria).
It foams beautifully – music to the ears of cleansing foam fans (but note: it’s not for use near eyes) and it has a mild, citrussy scent.
Goes well with: a muslin or bamboo cloth or a Konjac Sponge.
I can see myself using this one quite a lot going forward, alternating it with a balm cleanser (eg: Jane Scrivner’s utterly wonderful hero product – her Nourishing Cleanser – or another Beauty Shortlist winner, Norwegian brand Marina Miracle’s divine probiotic 4-in-1 Sweet & Creamy Oil Cleanser which is like a creamy lotion and sweeps off EVERYTHING! If you haven’t come across Marina Miracle yet, go have a look).

As for Weleda’s new launch?
This is one I’d recommend anyone (with normal-combo skin) to try, and it’s delightfully non-drying, so even non-spring chickens will probably love it when you feel like switching from your usual oil or balm cleanser (great for more mature skin as we know) to something lighter and satisfyingly foamy, just for a change.

How to use:
