What we do (and don’t)

YES

We DO accept unsolicited samples, however the absolute best way to get samples to us is via either our annual Beauty Shortlist Awards or Mama & Baby Awards (June 2018)).

We DO support small, niche artisan brands alongside the big global players.

We DO support eco brands but we also feature brands that are not 100% “green” (e.g. some of the French pharmacy or dermatologist-led brands) as long as these brands are not actively trying to greenwash consumers and do not make false claims about being totally natural.

NO

We DO NOT accept sponsorship for our annual Awards.

We DO NOT support brands that “greenwash” – i.e. pretend to be natural to attract the green buyer, when really the ingredients label is nowhere near natural.

We DO NOT run one-off ads, individual sponsored posts, one-off paid Instagram posts, etc.

We DO NOT use affiliate links.

We DO NOT sell beauty blogger email lists (or consumers’ emails) – absolutely never.

We DO NOT have any behind the scenes allegiances to any brand whatsoever in the beauty or wellbeing industry.

We DO NOT receive anything from the retailers we feature – in fact, we pick and choose the retailers and try to be fair, mentioning different retailers regularly.

We DO like to hear about new brands and interesting launches which we feel consumers will genuinely love.
