USEFUL BEAUTY: TRAVEL BALMS (here’s one you should know about)

image

Useful beauty, multi-taskers, great little travellers…who doesn’t love a botanically-powered Balm that does lots of things – from helping heal nails damaged by gel polish to calming insect bites and healing “gardener’s hands”?

“A Mediterranean garden…in a pot, full of natural botanical healers”
– The Beauty Shortlist

With our 2016 Baby Awards entries now wrapped up (not the winners though – lots to get through, entries were up 130% on last year so we had a baby boom this year!) I promised to spotlight a few stand-outs.

The balm edit at The Balm Boutique is a treasure trove of healing beauty – the SOS Balm for Dry Skin is a good one (I’ve tried it) but if you’ve got the kids home for the holidays or are jetting off soon, their Green Healing Balm is one of those “how did I live without this?” products.

It’s completely manic here today, so I’ll let the ingredients and awards speak (see below) speak for themselves…

Really nicely priced at £15, here’s what it can tackle (I’ve taken the what-it-does and ingredients copy below straight from The Balm Boutique’s website) and congratulations on winning a Beauty Shortlist Award this year – AND getting shortlisted for the FreeFrom Awards, too. It’s no-sting, very comforting and there’s no pungent medical/herbal/apothecary smell so that’s 3 reasons people are liking it, right there.

(Keep one in the garden shed and in the bathroom – this would be brilliant for “gardener’s hands – eg if you nick a finger on a rose thorn!)
