FRESH IN FROM DENMARK: NUORI SKINCARE AT CONTENT BEAUTY #smallbatchbeauty

nuori hand cream small

Scandi brands are scoring well in our Awards judging this year, in fact I think this could be a big Swiss-Scandi year (lips sealed now, can’t say any more but we’ll know the stand-outs on Tuesday 15 March).

NUORI – from Denmark – hit our radar a few months ago (this fresh, small batch beauty brand is at CONTENT and worth checking out while you’re shopping there if you haven’t already…)

One of NUORI’s product boxes with their  start using by date on it –  21 FEB 2016

nuori vit c

These are the ingredients from NUORI’s 20 DAYS Supreme-C Serum Treatment 7.5% Pure Vitamin C Booster which is in the photo above showing the Start by date.

You get two mini serum bottles inside the box. Unscrew the cap of the first one (10 day supply), mix in the Vit C powder and then replace the cap with a pipette.  When the 10 days are up, open the next vial.

This method “fresh mix” method is to keep the Vitamin C as potent as possible and you can never have anough Hyaluronic Acid (a big moisture-retainer!) so it’s nice to see that in there as well.

I like this Vital Hand Cream although the price tag £35 is pretty steep, in fact if I were heading up this brand I’d have a rethink about the price point of this particular product (I would have no issue paying £25 for their Foaming Cleanser though – see below)

The rest of the range is good, too, but the Vital Hand Cream seems to have made its way onto my desk this week, it’s sitting next to my laptop as I tap away. It’s almost like an intensive treatment and I have to say the scent (orange/light vanilla) is quite lovely.  I’m not a big vanilla fan, to be honest, but it smells a bit like a light, creamy orange mousse or something…love it.  It’s light and un-greasy too, in a slim, chic plastic tube with a pump action tip, and here are the ingredients taken directly from NUORI’s site www.nuori.com

NUORI are big on “fresh batch” skincare, making theirs every 12 weeks (more potency, less bacteria!) and each product has a “Start by” date stamped on the front of the box, along with an “EXP” use by date on the back, reminding us that skincare left lying around for months on end in stores, warehouses and in bottom drawers of dressing tables loses its potency and can even “go off”.

Small Batch (which I keep typing as “small bath”) Beauty is “a thing” this year – just ask Content Beauty, who like me are big fans of all things artisan, fresh and wonderful.

I like NUORI’s Vital Foaming Cleanser as well, it’s enzyme and antioxidant rich and £25 – here are the ingredients for this:

Glycerin (plant origin), Water/Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (plant origin), Betaine (plant origin), Oat/Avena Sativa Kernel Extract, Triethyl Citrate, Lactobacillus/Pomegranate/Punica Granatum Fruit Ferment Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sweet Orange/Citrus Sinensis Peel Oil Expressed, Lemon/Citrus Limon Peel Oil, Fragrance/Parfum*, Limonene*, Sodium Gluconate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate.
