“Online Beauty/Grooming Journalist/Blogger of the Year 2015” THE FASHION BEAUTY MONITOR JOURNALISM AWARDS RETURN ON 21 OCTOBER

Every time you sit down for a dose of “you time” with a good glossy mag or you manage to steal a few minutes to catch up on #LFW on the iPad, somebody who has dedicated his/her working life to words has written what you’re reading.

Fashion and beauty, like music, are happiness fixes for humans and once again The Fashion Beauty Monitor Journalism Awards are beckoning from around the corner…

A few weeks ago, a happy email popped into my inbox saying I’d been shortlisted for the Online Beauty/Grooming Journalist/Blogger of the Year award along with Lee Kynaston (MEN’S HEALTH) and three other journalists. I’ve met Lee (at the first ever Fashion Monitor Awards) so I’m biased, but well done, too, to:

Anna Hunter (GET THE GLOSS), Bridget March (COSMOPOLITAN), Danielle Fox (THE EDIT, NET-A-PORTER)

I’m more used to giving awards than receiving them (next March’s 2016 Beauty Shortlist Awards which opened this month will be the 5th) so for once there’s an Awards event coming up that I’m in, which I don’t have to judge.

Keep a look out next for the results of the biggest (3rd annual) Fashion Beauty Monitor Awards yet – the results will be in on 21 October.

About the Fashion Beauty Monitor Journalism Awards

“It is fantastic to announce the launch of the third annual Fashion and Beauty Monitor Journalism Awards, with winners set to be announced in October 2015. As a trusted intermediary between media and brands within these sectors, our position at the core of the industry has enabled us to offer an impartial awards initiative in order to celebrate individuals who have shown an outstanding contribution to fashion and beauty media.

2014 was a fantastic year for Fashion and Beauty Monitor. Not only did Beauty Monitor, the standalone product for the beauty industry launch, but 2014 saw Fashion and Beauty Monitor enter into the US market to great reception. Due to our expansion, we felt that it was only appropriate that our awards cater for our new audiences and so have introduced new categories for 2015 to fully welcome our international audience.

Yet again, the winners from our eventual esteemed shortlist will be decided from a panel of 30 well-respected judges that span the length and breadth of PR, media and creative within the global fashion and beauty community.

As an online hub for both industries, we felt that yet again this year it was only right to host our awards initiative online to ensure that everyone can be involved in toasting the exceptional media talent that is so crucial to informing, educating and entertaining readers, whilst impacting on commercial brand success. So please ensure that the huge amount of talent we have within both industries is recognised by nominating the journalists that performed exceptionally within 2014.”
