What’s unique? It’s all about the formula: From free radical fighter Vitamin C to phyto protector Plankton Extract, along with rosehip oil, evening primrose, flax seed, shea butter, cucumber and glycerin, Coola’s turning the SPF game on its head.

THE ULTRA-LIGHT, SHINE-REVIVING THERAPY HAIR OIL MIST

Label.m’s NEW Therapy Rejuvenating Hair Oil Mist

What? label.m have just launched a NEW shine-boosting, no “weigh down” mist containing Rejuven-8 Complex –and there’s another plus, it’s free from sulphates parabens or sodium chloride.

Why? The interesting intelligent ingredients label. Rejuvenating Hair Oil Mist was formulated to offset the 5 issues that sabotage hair’s natural strength and brilliance (we’ve all been there – too many late nights, not eating properly, too much wind, central heating, sun, stress…!) Your hair can show signs of ageing, too – like coarseness, thinness, dryness, dull /lack of sheen and weak hair – and because this oil protects against UV damage and thermal heat exposure you get built-in protection from the sun or too much hair drying after swimming, too.

What’s unique? Label.m’s global patent pending, strength and shine-boosting omega 3,6,9 Rejuven-8 Complex. It contains:

White caviar, iron rose crystal, palm sugars, African baobab micro proteins, hyaluronic acid, Lupine lipo peptides, European sweet chestnut extract and Moroccan Argan Oil.

Plus Factor?  The “summer’s here” floral notes of geranium, rose, plum dewberry, vanilla and tonka.

THE  ANTI-AGEING SERUM FOR 45-55+ SKIN

What? Forme Labs’ menopause-targeted Stratum C range only launched in 2013 but it didn’t take long for the endorsements to start flowing in from beauty editors like Alice Hart-Davis who calls the range “lovely, high quality and well researched”.

Two of the stand-outs here would have to be the Stratum C Serum (very hydrating but amazingly light, it’s like a long drink of water for parched summer skin) and the also excellent Day Cream.  If you’ve never been a fan of the richer, heavier anti-ageing products around, you’ll find Stratum C’s formulas refreshingly different and incredibly “comfortable to wear”. (On a totally different side note, Stratum C’s spot-targeting product apparently works really well on much younger skin, we’ll be testing that theory soon).

Why? Brands targeted for the 45-55 age group are few and far between (a huge, gaping gap in the market, frankly!) and having tested a lot of the products in this range, including the serum, cream and the cleanser, Stratum C really does – simply put – deliver.

What’s unique? Stratum C is the UK’s first skincare range formulated specifically for menopausal skin (when hormones “play up” and sometimes skin starts misbehaving even if you’ve been lucky to have great skin for most of your life).

Plus factor? The maximum science, minimum preservatives factor.  Stratum C uses high levels of active peptides to help double collagen production (keeps skin “elastic”) which plummets alarmingly after “un certain age” as they say in France.

All the more reason to celebrate ageless beauty.

THE ULTRA-LUXE FACIAL OIL

Skin Salvation by Beautitude

What? Scottish aromatherapist Rebecca O’Connor’s cult facial oil Skin Salvation joins her capsule collection of specially-blended, multi award-winning Beatitude bath oils.

Why? Say hello to a 5 oil wonder. With Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Oat, Black Cumin Seed, Squalene (from olives) and Vitamin E, this anti-ageing powerhouse of a multi-oil was designed to heal, calm, rejuvenate, energise  and restore skin’s glow and overall balance.  Think of it as your night time comfort blanket for tired or “had too much sun” skin.

What’s unique? Rebecca’s expertly-blended artisan products are completely natural and formulated in small batches – she really understands the healing  properties of oils and how to use them.

Plus factor Beatitude means “supreme blessedness”  – book a stay at Fletcher’s Cottage Spa at Archerfield House in East Lothian and experience Beautitude’s Supreme Happiness spa treatment first hand. (And yes, Beatitude’s JOY bath oil is the most uplifting bath oil I know!)
