CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN DAY 3: GREAT BRITISH BEAUTY at CONTENT
Imelda Burke, founder of Content Beauty (who won our Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Award earlier this year) sent me a rather fab Content- curated British Beauty collection on Monday – it’s full of generous trial sizes and mini stepping stones to discovering lots of Great British Brands.
Everything in it was a worthy inclusion but if I was forced to single out two or three favourites, they’d probably be:
OSKIA’s Bedtime Boost (which is still high up on my night cream shortlist and one you’ll want to try if you wake up with dry feeling skin every morning, especially in the winter months)
A beautiful apothecary-esque Bath Oil by AMBRE Botanicals with rosemary, thyme and mint
SKIN + TONIC’s mint-infused Steam Clean cleansing balm, with British Thistle, aromatic Eucalyptus and refreshing Spearmint oils designed to lift dirt and rejuvenate dull, tired skin – one of the most natural mint scents I’ve come across, it was like inhaling a handful of fresh crushed mint! (The mint definitely over-riding the eucalyptus on the scent scale)
There’s also a special SKIN + TONIC gift set at Content for Christmas if you fancy exploring the whole capsule collection by this very new British brand.
And I’ve been wearing THERAPI’s new Lip Balm since Monday – one of the best tasting lip balms I’ve tried, quite honestly, as I find lip balms, rather like lipsticks, still fall short sometimes – too greasy, not emollient enough, a bit weird tasting or a bit too sickly or sticky.
Therapi’s lip balm I think it’s safe to say is up there with Dr. Hauschka’s. I don’t think it’s for sale at Content but you’ll get it as a gift, along with a free Therapi Skincare makeup bag when you buy any Therapi product at Content this week HERE
There are lots of Christmas gifts and beauty + wellbeing treats at Content and if you can’t get to their store in Marylebone before the reindeer arrive, head over here in your lunch hour instead www.beingcontent.com
