One scent that reminds me of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, year after year, is Crabtree & Evelyn’s NOEL home fragrance oil (fab for scenting pine cones or evergreens). I was dog sitting a few Christmasses ago and this oil was on auto-refill on my little oil burner as the three of us – me and two very well behaved four-legged friends – watched Jools Holland on New Year’s Eve (by far the quietest NYE I’ve ever spent, but despite the isolation and remote location, in many ways it was quite special).
