ISSEY MIYAKE PLEATS PLEASE £21.25
Yes please. While we were researching the scents for this feature (don’t feel sorry for us) the lovely Emma at Escentual sent us some try-me sizes of some of her favourites. Well can we just say here that Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please is pretty much the perfect sheer veil of fragrance for summer…but with legs? It has a wild rose heart and woody notes – and it has character. Light enough for summer, distinctive enough to get noticed, plus nice staying power.

DOLCE & GABBANA LIGHT BLUE Limited Edition Escape to Panarea – Summer 2014
Very Italian summer and very new, D&G’s Light Blue Escape to Panarea limited edition has just launched for summer 2014. D&G’s latest addition is passionate and provocative, but in a “sheer” way. Top notes of bergamot and pear, heart notes of jasmine and orange blossom and warm base notes of ambergris, patchouli and tonka beans add sensuality.

DIPTYQUE GERANIUM ODORATA EDT £32
Ridiculously pretty packaging meets an unbelievably pretty summer scent.
Diptyque’s new offering is a real “essence of geranium” made from a blend of African geranium from Egypt and Bourbon geranium from Réunion Island.
Bright, uplifting notes of bergamot, along with rose, pink peppercorn, tonka bean, Haitian vetiver and cedar are all in the mix, too, but it’s the “summer is here” geranium that will bring your Mediterranean island holiday memories flooding back.
