WINTER WONDER WORKER: UDO’S ULTIMATE OIL

Udos Oil

“Oh you look well!”

Before Christmas I started taking Udo’s Ultimate Oil Blend every morning. Mixing it into yoghurt and muesli, adding it to smoothies. Then this happened…

“Oh you look well!” said a friend. “You look well!” said my cousin. “You’re looking well!” said our man at the post office. “Fi, you’re looking really well!” said the lady whose dogs I walk.

My Week of Looking Well became the Month of Looking Well then I went away for Christmas (without the oil).  For various reasons, last week was the week of not looking so well but I may be slightly addicted to my winter wonder worker now, and now that I’m home and back on track, I’m starting to take this regularly again – starting today.

The big thing about FATS is, they’re good and bad.  The good ones help our bodies function optimally. No time to go into it here but Udo Erasmus, founder of Udo’s, goes into it in depth in Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill.

Humans can’t make Omega 3 or 6, so we need to consume them. But here’s the clincher: while Omega 6 is in a variety of oils, all over the place, you have to look to fish, walnuts, soybean, canola and flaxseed oil for your Omega 3. We need more Omega 3 v. Omega 6 (although we need both!) They have a panoramic assortment of health benefits from immunity to fat loss, to heart health to healthy skin and hair, to energy and longevity, brain function and reproduction. Equally importantly, Omega 3 (not 6) is anti-inflammatory.

Udo’s Ultimate Oil Blend £10.99/250ml.  Here’s to The Year of Looking Well.

Ingredients: Flax seed oil*, sunflower seed oil*, sesame seed oil*, coconut oil*, evening primrose oil* (13 mg gla/15 ml), soy lecithin, rice bran and rice germ oils, oat bran and oat germ* oils, mixed tocopherols: the oils in this blend supply a range of fatty acids including 2:1:1 ratio of Omega 3, 6 and 9.

* certified organic. Udo’s Choice Ultimate Oil Blend contains no animal derived products. Vegan and Vegetarian.

I was practically inhaling it this winter, it’s good for so many things – hair, nails, skin, anti-inflammatory, etc. I think you’d love it!

Needs to be mixed with smoothies or something else (taste) but I honestly think it is a wonder worker Grace! Two friends are now taking it and love it too, hope you get the chance to try it, if you do let me know what you think?

Also Vitamin D is another thing I think we’re pretty deficient in (UK weather, etc.) and have found taking supplements really helps energy levels, immunity, mood, etc. Fi x
