Sounds trite, but if you don’t have enough sleep it’s very difficult to de-stress.So sleep is my best friend & of course Tisserand Lavender to help me sleep !

Always make sure I have a good hand cream (with essential oils) close by ……. in handbag or on desk at work. For that “aromatherapy shot” whenever a quick de-stress is needed!

Best de-dress tip is green tea, and plenty of sleep!! Also make sure you’re getting enough vitamin c. And of course any of Tisserand’s Aromatherapy products!!

My best de-stress tip is to take a bit of thime out for yourself, whether it’s taking a walk in the park or a nice relaxing warm bath. It’s worth it!

My favourite way to de-stress is using EFT (emotional freedom technique), It is a form of acupressure tapping on acupressure points on the upper body and head. If I feel upset or stressed EFT normally calms me and soothes my greatly. I also love meditation for when I am feeling extra fragile in any way, I simply sit, listen to music, while focusing on my breathing. This helps me tremendously.

My favourite way to destress is to put on a facemask, have a huge bubble bath, and then cuddle up on the sofa watching a chic movie whilst looking through some magazines. I wish I could destress on a hot beach but sadly living in the UK doesn’t allow this.

  9. November 8, 2012 / 3:18 pm

A few drops of aromatherapy oils in the bath, base of the shower, or on a comforting hot wash cloth draped over the face and inhaled deeply until it cools.

I lay on the floor on my yoga mat and focus on every part of my body melting like marshmallow into the floor; and relax into my breathing so it complements my grounded body

  11. November 8, 2012 / 1:06 pm

A long soak in the bath with candles, music and a magazine always works a treat when I want to destress!

    very nice gifts!
My de-stress tip is just to take a hot hot bath with essential oils and try not to think of anything!!!

  14. November 8, 2012 / 9:14 am

A walk in the countryside. No matter how reluctant I am to go (weather not always conducive!), I always return home feeling refreshed. The walk gives me the chance to put things into perspective. Sometimes that’s essential.

My best quick fix de-stress tip is simple, just close your eyes and take a few deep breaths – works every time and is great just before exams and interviews.

I’m following Tisserand and retweeted competition tweet (@yasminamrgaber)
When i’m stressed I like to do something that will take my mind off my worries. Taking a bath doesn’t work for me, I need to be doing some kind of activity like baking a cake, it’s always a good idea to treat yourself when you are stressed. Or i’ll go and visit my sisters or better still, go shopping then have lunch with them. Something simple like a good movie also works if it’s funny enough!

I follow Tisserand. Good to see them on Twitter now. My best destress tip? Sex! Like exercise, sex releases endorphines and endorphines make you happy and relaxed. Stress? What stress? 🙂

  29. November 7, 2012 / 7:07 pm

Hi Fiona, I’m following Tisserand on twitter.
I find using aromatherapy oils one of the best ways to de-stress. It helps to calm and soothe mind, body and spirit beautifully and you experience the benefits immediately. I always have an aromatherapy rollerball in my bag, it’s great I can use it just about anywhere and anytime I need it. My oils of choice are lavender, chamomile, ylang-ylang and rose. When I want some me-time I have a pampering aromatherapy bath. Ahhh pure bliss!
I also believe laughter is a great stress zapper. I love to rent a funny movie and have a chuckle.

Fragrance has always been my de-stresser. Whether it’s a freshing scented body wash, or a soothing scented body lotion, scents help me relax or get invigorated. I love burning scented candles – especially during the holidays because they invoke happy memories of when I was a child and the lovely aromas of my mother baking pies and holiday pastries. Perfume is my “medicine”

Have a cuddle – with your cat, child or partner (or anyone else who takes your fancy). There is nothing like a proper loving cuddle to squeeze the stress away…. Except maybe cake… 😉

Definately a walk in a gorgeous park or in the countryside, I’m a nature nut and any time I can get out into the natural world destresses me almost instantly – the sounds, smells of it all I find utterly therapeutic no matter what else is going on in life.

My de-stress tip is to develop a fixed bedtime routine so your mind and body know bedtime is approaching and begin to wind down ready for it; such as having a warm bath and a milky drink, or switching off the TV/laptop etc an hour before bed It works for children and it really helps you to get good quality sleep.

  43. November 7, 2012 / 4:38 pm

Fabulous giveaway! I’ve followed Tisserand on Twitter, and I;m just about to tweet you to tell you!

My de-stress tip is just to take time out – I don’t kn ow how to meditate properly, but I do think trying to empty your mind and properly relax is important – it doesn’t matter where you are, but just taking 5 minutes out and not worrying about things can be really helpful!
