L to R: Balance Me, Spa Fabulous, Suti, Roques Oneil Therapie, Pure Lochside, Pai, Grown

B-A-L-A-N-C-E.  Too fat, too thin. Too much, too little.  Too much rain, not enough sun; not enough rain, sun-parched crop fields. Too much work, not enough me time.  To sweet, too salty, too… Even we have our own healthy biological sweet spot: a PH of 7.4, which is slightly alkaline (PH 7 is neutral).  Body too acidic? Bad news.  Too alkaline? Dangerous.

So here are this weekend’s picks. All beautiful, balancing and two of them brand new. (Apologies for the dinner-by-candlelight quality of the pic taken last night, not great, but hope you discover some new favourites.)

BALANCE ME Rose Otto Body Wash Turn the shower into a Rose Otto and Rose Geranium garden with this silky smooth hydrating body wash. Most definitely a “Best of British” brand, Balance Me have just launched their new moisturising daily SPF18 and all the signs are it could become Balance Me’s hero product this summer.  Rose Otto Body Wash £12.25/260ml Balanceme.co.uk

Centering and balancing, this will help bring you back to a better place. Size shown 30ml from the Therapie Discovery Kit which contains five pampering, healing treats £32. PURE LOCHSIDE Organic Orange Cleansing Oil £11/15ml travel size. Love citrus oils but wonder if they’d actually work as a cleanser?  This one does. Rub a few drops into your hands, wipe over face and off come the make up and mascara. This delicious smelling 3-in-1 Orange Cleansing Oil tones and moisturises as well.  Also works as a shave oil.  Scottish, green and all-in-all quite lovely, this breath-of-fresh-air range is here.
