Christmas Countdown – Natural and Nice!

(Photo: Natural Wisdom Try Me Set – cleanser, hydrating toner, day moisturiser, night renewal, antioxidant oil and balm)

Sugar and spice and all things nice…and they get more points if they’re natural.  Santa’s been to Sweden and picked up a lovely Estelle & Thild Neroli & Bergamot Ecocert Hand Cream, then had a quick pit-stop in Australia where he discovered Black Chicken.

Back home, we’ve found a brilliant gift/stocking filler (above) packed with Pomegranate, Rosehip & Raspberry travel size skin treats by Natural Wisdom (6 try-me sizes at one special Christmas price). And Mrs Santa (who hates being in the press) told us about the brand new Alaya Beauty Advanced Radiance Superboost Facial Oil – nice find. (And the elves? The elves have been slacking, glued to their laptops, ordering treats for thems-elves…naughty!!)

Estelle & Thild Neroli & Bergamot (Ecocert  Organic) Hand Cream £15.50

Estelle & Thild believe you should be as careful about what you put on your skin as what you eat so we think you’ll love this Swedish shea butter and almond oil hand and nail moisturiser, which has winged its way south from Sweden and is now in UK at Urban Retreat.  This is a really good ethical brand who make lots of skincare treats which feel luxurious yet pure, including a delightful little Baby range. Head over to the website for some Swedish skincare inspiration:

Black Chicken Remedies – Love Your Face Serum £55

How many wonder oils can you fit into a super-powered facial serum? Eleven! Rosehip, Rose Maroc, Apricot Kernel, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose, Neroli and more (see here) all appear in this very fine oil which skin loves to drink in, from Australian aromatherapist Chey Birch.  It’s beautiful first thing in the morning to prep your skin for make up and it’s nourishing at night. Appropriately packaged in “duck egg blue”.

Natural Wisdom 6 Piece Try Me/Gift Set (oh what a wonderful Balm!) £12

(See pic at the very top of this post!) We love nothing more than people who make something from nothing for the good of others. So, without sounding too deep on a winter Sunday afternoon, we think there’s something quite special about Natural Wisdom.  This range is cold-pressed (making it more potent), Organic Certified, ethical and a lot of love goes into it. Plus, did we mention what fantastic value this 6-piece Try Me Kit is? On offer for £12 instead of £20 so grab one while you can – you could even split the kit into mini stocking fillers.  We loved their Antioxidant Balm -nice texture and its purity shines through. But so many ingredients, too little space here! Why not pop over and read about the Rosehip, Pomegranate, Raspberry and 8 herbal extracts – with Frankincense and Juniper – that’s in this lovely range?

Alaya Beauty Advanced Radiance Superboost £27 (special offer)

You might want to get your woolly mittens on one of these for Christmas because Alaya Beauty have a festive offer on now – Advanced Radiance Superboost is usually £45. Launched just last month we call it Santa’s hormone helper, but it’s not just a superboost for pre, peri, post, or whatever stage you’re at during the “Menopause” – far from it, it works for younger skin as well. (Why is “men” in menopause when it doesn’t affect them?)  Helps “Nurture, Uplift, Glow and Relax”, thanks to a long list of less common ingredients that include Wild Baobab, Argan Oil, African Para Cress (aka Nature’s Botox), Pomegranate, Blue Lotus and Sea Buckthorn (an Omega 7 wonder worker). A real treat for skin and a little goes a long way.
