Christmas Countdown – Scottish Secret Santa

Time for a wee detour out of London to spotlight three lovely Scottish brands

Colin and Justin’s Bergamot, May Chang and Grapefruit Candle smells almost too good to light, but it burns beautifully, thanks to soy wax (no paraffin), the cotton wick and natural botanicals.  May Chang, aka “Mountain Pepper” is great for winter as it has such powerful “positive” qualities.  Look out for it, as it’s a real feelgood fragrance with a sweet lemon/verbena scent, but more exotic!  Large candle £19/travel size £8. From C&J HOME

Raw-blended on the Isle of Skye, Live Native’s Frangipani Essential Woman moisturiser is the only one I’ve ever come across that feels like silky, melting sorbet.  Fairtraded, it’s 96% organic and full of good stuff including Rose and Frangipani – hence its warm, intoxicating “veil”.

Gorgeous. 30ml/£31.80.  From LIVE NATIVE

One of our real finds of the season! Founder Rebecca trained at the London College of Fashion in Beauty Therapy and her three signature scented Luxury Bath Oils – Patience, Peace and Joy – all are lovely but top of my list was Joy. Run a warm bath, light a candle and get your after-work fix of this Citrus Paradisi (grapefruit), Mandarin and Bergamot blend.  Joy might well appeal to Jo Malone fans who love her citrus-based scents.

Joy Bath Oil 50ml/£22, 100ml /£38  From BEATITUDE
