L’OCCITANE Lavender Hand Cream

If you only treat yourself to one hand cream this autumn, L’Occitane’s lovely Lavender Hand Cream is one of the best I’ve tested all year.

Why? Made with ultra-pure lavender oil from lavender harvested in Haute Provence, it delivers seriously silky moisturising (that’s the shea butter) and antibacterial, healing protection.  There’s lavender essential oil and rosemary extract in the formula and the miraculous part is the fact that it’s so soothing and smoothing, yet not the least bit greasy. Lavender is well known for its calming, healing qualities and if you’re not an antibacterial gel fan you may want to try L’Occitane’s Organic Lavender Hand Purifying Gel (50ml/£6).

This Creme Mains Lavande as they call it in Provence leaves a veil of lavender scent on hands – get the smaller size and take it with you on weekends away, to the gym, keep one in the kitchen or office.  I know it’s early but we’ve already earmarked these for our Christmas stockings.
